Initiative Description

Smart Agrifood Academy provides an overview on precision farming techniques, innovative technologies for agriculture (crop operations and forecast models, remote sensing, sampling methods), and on the optimization of the yield. The training course aims to train agricultural professionals in optimizing the work on the field by integrating specific skills and innovative technologies.

Training Objectives

Promote entrepreneurial talent and new ideas with the intent to develop technological services and applications in Smart City. Promote, encourage and present the potential of the FIWARE solutions to help facilitate the largest implementation.

How Open Data and Big Data helps create Smart Cities, Using data to identify problems affecting the city in different areas: urban renewal, waste collection, public safety, mobility, social services, environmental problems.
