The future of TVET: TVET Alliance Summit 2022 in Tuscany
The World organization UNESCO is strongly convinced that Technical and Vocational Education and Training has the potential to empower individuals, organizations, enterprises and communities. The worldwide network for skills in advanced manufacturing Skillman is contributing to that statement by connecting industry and training providers with civil society.
Designing the society of tomorrow was the main objective of the TVET Alliance summit in Florence in April 2022. Nearly 30 Skillman members debated about the future of work. They thought about ways to improve education TVET in this event organised with the European Training Foundation, with key support from other international organisations and also members of the Skillman Alliance.
During the days, participants were also invited to brainstorm over the TVET key strategic concepts, the mission of the TVET alliance, and ideas on strategies to develop products and opportunities.
TVET Alliance Summit 2022 – Highlights
The Skillman Network is a non-governmental organisation based in the EU and engaged in the TVET domain to design and distribute solutions that facilitate the implementation of the work-based-learning approach to skills mismatch for a worldwide community of practitioners, researchers and institutions.
Currently present in over 95 countries with more than 650 members, Skillman leads an annual debate marked by two recursive milestones, such as the Skillman International Forum and, from April 2022, the Alliance Summit.
