Efficient Real-time Hybrid Volumetric Telepresence Pipeline for Robotic Teleoperation
Extend Robotics builds human robot interface software for non-robotic experts to intuitively operate robots remotely. The company developed Visualization of point cloud in a VR headset in response to VOJEXT Challenge. The aim was to improve robotic teleoperation by providing 3D volumetric visualization of a remote workspace.
The project has demonstrated real-time sensor based remote 3D visualization system already paired with state-of-the-art teleoperation robot to provide intuitive interface.
The future-proof system includes standard based 3D data acquisition, compression, streaming, VR interface and 3D volumetric visualization.
