International Symposium on Remote Laser Welding (RLW) Process Navigator

Under the topic “From Design to Production: Simulation and Optimisation of the Body-in-white Joining Process”, the symposium will focus on demonstration of the simulation solutions (CAE tools), and it will be held on 9th of December in University of Warwick, (UK).

The project has been exploring Remote Laser Welding joining technology as an alternative to spot welding in automotive body-in-white applications. Now that the project is approaching its final stage the Consortium wishes to disseminate its findings and to showcase the tools which have been developed.

The developed tools are of particular interest to industry practitioners and researchers in manufacturing and intend to offer a ground for exploring and discussing their future employability, whilst encouraging collaboration for developing future automotive manufacturing technologies and potential research partnerships.
