I4MS participation at the 2021 edition of Advanced Factories congress
After months without an in-person event, it has been delightful to be present during the annual meeting of industrial leaders – Advanced Factories. This event organised since 2017 has been essential for I4MS to introduce to the participants the funding opportunities under Phase 4 of the European Union initiative.
I4MS innovation actions on the stage
Representatives of I4MS Innovation actions such as Ai Regio, Better Factory, Change2Twin, Kitt4SME and Pulsate participated in the I4MS booth, to present and answer the public doubts while the industrial trade went on.
For Kitt4SME, Rodolfo Haber, director of the Center for Automation and Robotics (CSIC-UPM), promoted the project during the panel Exploiting data: Architecture and structure. The aim of Kitt4SMEt is to deliver a modularly customisable digital platform that can seamlessly introduce artificial intelligence in the production systems of factories.
Marco Orellana, Manager at the Centre of Innovation for Data Tech and Artificial Intelligence (CIDAI), represented AI Regio and moderated a session on Robotization of administrative processes, how far do invisible robots reach? The AI Regio project aims at filling three major gaps currently preventing AI-driven DIHs from implementing fully effective digital transformation pathways for their Manufacturing SMEs: at policy level the Regional vs. EU gap; at technological level the Digital Manufacturing vs. Innovation Collaboration Platform gap; at business level the Innovative AI (Industry 5.0) vs Industry 4.0 gap.
Maria Roca, Senior Manager at Funding participated in the panel Clustering of SMEs and recovering funds , in which she presented the opportunities under I4MS for the manufacturing ecosystem, such as the open calls, working groups and contact points.
The activities on skills under I4MS were presented by the Digital Transformation Projects Director, Jordi Arrufí, from the Mobile World Capital Barcelona. He took part in two panels: Digital skills training and beyond: SMEs, Grants and Talent, organized by the local government and Digital skills: A constraint to growth?
