I4MS at Mobile World Congress Barcelona

I4MS joined the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona the last week of February. The I4MS presence focused on different industry-driven activities created to promote the initiative and to make known the opportunities and possibilities to the Mobile World Congress audience aiming at SMEs and Corporates like the permanent space for the I4MS Initiative at the centre of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona stand where there were featured the highlights of the I4MS initiative.

In addition, tailor-made tours for local SMEs were organised together with ACC10, the Catalan Agency for Business Development, and Going Digital, one of the programmes of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation, in order to promote the initiative among key local SMEs. The tours were called “Dawn of New Industrial Era” and they visited relevant exhibition stands to provide insight into the latest technology and facilitate direct contact between exhibitors and participants, and they finished at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Stand where a final pitch about I4MS was performed.

Additionally, Andrus Ansip, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Digital Single Market visited the I4MS space at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona stand where the I4MS team took the opportunity to make a short introduction of the initiative.

Moreover, the I4MS initiative was also present in the side event of the MWC, 4 Years From Now (4YFN). 4YFN is the start-up business platform of MWC that enables start-ups, investors and corporations to connect and launch new ventures together. The I4MS initiative organised together with Robot Union, the first European Accelerator fully focused on Robotics start-up and SMEs, the Robotic Workshop “How to succeed in the Robotics sector”, where the I4MS initiative carried out an overview of funding and business services available to support start-ups and SMEs in the Robotics sector.
