Great success of I4MS 2015: Enhancing digital transformation in manufacturing SMEs

After successfully completing its second year, I4MS hosted its second international public event on May 22nd in Brussels. More than 200 industry and innovation professionals gathered to attend several presentations on the I4MS project’s achievements as well as additional funding opportunities for SMEs and medium-sized corporates within the initiative.

The event signified the importance of SMEs in Europe’s manufacturing industry and their role in the reindustrialisation process for Europe. At a glance: SMEs are providers of around 45% of manufacturing added value and roughly 59% of employment in the manufacturing sector.
