Fortissimo Experiment wins HPC Innovation Excellence Awards

The Fortissimo experiment “HPC-Cloud-based optimization of water turbines for power generation” won the HPC Innovation Excellence Awards in November 2017. This is a huge achievement to win such a prestigious award whereby the efforts into showing the benefits of adopting HPC specifically for SMEs has been recognized.

The leader of this experiment, Claudio Arlandini from CINECA, when asked about the award commented, “I am proud that Hyperion Research, one of the most trusted entities in the HPC world, recognized the great job that Fortissimo, and Cineca in particular, did to get real, measurable impact for European SMEs.”
