First I4MS Collaborative meeting with IAs
I4MS4Ts is dedicated -since 2013- to foster digitalisation of manufacturing SMEs. To this end, it will all provide the necessary tools for communication and dissemination under a joint brand, and thus, facilitate and encourage collaboration between Innovation Actions
The I4MS CSA organised on the 27 of October 2020 the first I4MS collaborative meeting. Between I4MS Innovation Action of phase 3 and phase 4. In this meeting, representatives of the EC, I4MS Innovation Actions and partners of the I4MS CSA meet each other and learn more about the different projects, as a way to reinforce synergies for future collaboration within all participants of the new stage of the EC flagship initiative.
Gladly, we also counted with the participation of Anne Marie Sassen, Deputy Head of Unit of EC DG CONNECT, who opened the meeting presenting the framework of I4MS and how it is linked with other initiatives,to support the EU in its Digital Europe Programme. This presentation was followed by Mayte Carracedo, from FundingBox, Project Coordinator of the I4MS CSA. She showcased the current running I4MS CSA (I4MS4Ts) objectives and most important activities.
The first half of the meeting was dedicated to Phase 3 Innovation Actions. In this last time slot of the morning they shared their results, lessons learned and best practices based on their outstanding work during the last 3 years as follows:

- CloudiFacturing; André Stork, Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research
- L4MS; Ali Muhammad, VTT
After lunch, the 8 new Innovation Actions of Phase 4 -that covers 4 technology areas plus the Widening dimension of I4MS- were invited to present their projects, work plans and goals. The relation of participants was the following:

The meeting was concluded with interactive session where Innovation Actions were asked to share their ideas on the where they identified any potential synergies with the other IAs to identify opportunities for joint collaboration. Five actions were identified as a priority and the CSA will create and develop joint activities based on these results. If you want to discover what was all about, stay tunned to our channels.
