OJS

Challenge: The basic idea of  the OJS Application Experiment is to take advantage from the orientation to cost reduction of the two platforms OPIL and Jobot (a low cost AGV developed by Eutronica, the leader of the consortium) in order to accelerate, through the interoperability between them, the introduction of innovative logistics solution in SME- Puntoart Srl.

Solution: This experiment will consist of connecting through AGV all specific areas of interest, particularly the raw materials warehouse with the automatic machines and with the quality control. A further objective will be to experiment with the use of the lift in order to also serve with the AGV the first floor of the manufacturing.

Implementation time: 8 months.

Implementation cost: 247.000€.

Output: To reduce the disorder caused by an incremental development of the company within a small-sized production site on two levels. Also, to improve the time spent by workers for the handling of materials being moved from one work center to another.

Impact: solution implementation time (after simulation) – 2 days; time spent for handling after the implementation – 2% of the FTE time.
