Cloud-based HPC simulation in the design of high-performance gears

Stam is an Italian SME which has pioneered the development of non-circular gears. The process of designing and analysing the performance of such high-performance gears is extremely complex and involves long computational times, mainly due to the inherently iterative nature of the design process. In this case study STAM will use an HPC Cloud-based engineering workflow for the iterative design of gears. The clear objective is to quantify the increase of competitiveness due to the use of such workflows in the simulation of high-performance gears.
