DIH-World aims to accelerate the uptake of advanced digital technologies by European manufacturing SMEs in all sectors by supporting them in building sustainable competitive advantages and reaching global markets. DIH-World strengthens the capacities of regional DIHs, particularly in underrepresented regions across Europe.
As intermediaries of successful local SME digital transformation, DIH-World aims at providing DIHs, access to harmonised tools, well proven technologies, effective methodologies, sound knowledge, smart investment sources, rich training assets and overall a vibrant innovation environment.
The final aim is to accelerate the matureness of DIHs and the development of their collaboration capabilities, and avoid a DIH divide due to lack of access to technologies, skills, networks, investment and infrastructures with special emphasis in underrepresented regions; so they can capitalise and leverage on the European DIHs Networks their resources and facilities for the benefit of their local SMEs.
Open Calls
DIH-World will organise two open calls to select and support 45 SME-driven experiments. DIH-World aims at supporting SMEs from industries which traditionally have lagged behind on various aspects of digitalization, and will target SMEs and DIHs from regions which historically have experienced low DIH presence and digitalization rates. DIH Community days
European DIH Community Days events provide an opportunity for DIH communities to learn about DIH activities and services, the benefits of digital transformation, and collaboration opportunities.
DIHs will be invited to open their doors to SMEs, mid-caps, regional stakeholders and other regional and/or cross-border DIHs during the European DIHs Community Days. These days will break the ice between the SMEs and mid-caps and the DIH and facilitating exchanges and interaction in an informal meeting.

To strengthen DIH networking and support DIH collaboration. DIHs will benefit from ‘Train-the-Trainer’ workshops and connect with potential partners
REGIONAL DISSEMINATION WORKSHOPS
The DIHs will present their services to their regional ecosystem and engage everyone in working/supporting the DIH activities.
TAILORED TRAINING
To provide expert advice to DIHs on how to develop their business plans and will guide them through each step of the business planning process.
TOOLBOX
To help DIHs to develop and scale up their services and enhance collaboration with other DIHs.
