Change2Twin at Advanced Factories | I4MS Interview
Change2Twin is a European project (part of I4MS) which helps manufacturing SMEs in their digitalization efforts to deploy digital twins. The concept of digital twin is one of the big game-changers in manufacturing and allows companies to significantly increase their global competitiveness. Therefore, Change2Twin offers manufacturing SMEs a tailor-made solution reaching from analysis of their potential, individual mentoring plan to ready-to-use recipe for digital twin deployment.
Its scheme is unique for its strong focus on the individual needs of companies. It reaches from the analysis of their digitization potential, individual mentoring plan to ready-to-use recipe for digital twin deployment. It provides companies with funding, which covers the assessment of their digital fitness, preparedness for digital twinning as well as the deployment of the digital twin (incl. application experiments). For this purpose, Change2Twin cooperates with local Digital Innovation Hubs, technology providers and related European projects.
From Autumn 2020 to Spring 2021 Change2Twin executes four pilot experiments with companies from diverse manufacturing branches. The experiments are being documented and will be made available on this website. In January 2021 Change2Twin launched the first open call for SMEs and mid-caps, other calls will follow during 2021 and 2022. The entire process is accompanied by a support programme, including webinars and help desk.
