BEINCPPS – The Lombardy Digital innovation hub

Lombardy is the leading region of the Italian manufacturing sector and one of the four Motors for Europe. In Lombardy the BEinCPPS Regional Manufacturing Digital Innovation Hub is the “Digital & Virtual Factory” working group of Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia (AFIL).

The BEinCPPS ecosystem nurturing the Hub involves: Politecnico di Milano, the Competence Center providing knowledge and expertise on Cyber-Physical Production Systems, as well as the FoF Lab environment for awareness raising, demonstration, education and training; Whirlpool Europe, the Industrial Champion contributing to the fine-tuning and extension of the BEinCPPS digital manufacturing reference platform through the design of pilot experiments in the white goods industry; and an ecosystem of ICT and CPS solution providers, represented by Engineering and Holonix.

The aim of the BEinCPPS Regional Manufacturing Digital Innovation Hub is to support manufacturing SMEs in transforming their products, processes and business models, through the provision of digital innovation services in a trusted way, such as access to digital know-how, demand-offer matchmaking and access to public/private financing opportunities.
