Telerobotics course for companies

Initiative Description

The content of the course will focus on the knowledge of the different technologies used for remote interaction with robots performing tasks in hazardous environments for humans. The different human-robot interaction devices are analysed, such as haptic devices, stereoscopic vision, voice control, among others. As well as, the different simulation tools for remote manipulation tasks, with examples in different industrial sectors. The existence of several European initiatives for the coming years makes this course of special interest for companies in the region. These initiatives include IFMIF-DONES, which is planned to be built in Spain; the new CERN accelerator, for which several tenders are planned; etc.

Training Objectives

The course is aimed at improving the skills of scientific-technical profiles in companies working in sectors where technologies related to Telerobotics and Remote Handling can be applied (e.g. nuclear sector, submarine, aeronautics, surveillance, etc.).
