FABTHEP aims to realise thermal fabric printing for PEEK reinforced carbon composites where individual shape is determined late in the production chain.
The challenge is
- use Additive Manufacturing (FDM)
- 3D print patterns _x000B_of PEEK material onto Carbon Fabrics at a layer _x000B_thickness of 10 microns.
The aim of the experiment is to Increase the mechanical performance of Carbon Fiber Composites by enhancing the interlaminar fracture toughness.
