24 March 2021 – EU PITCCH
During the EU Industry Week 2021, projects PITCCH and ATI co-organised a local online event on:
Coordination of EU networks for Industry: Moving towards value chain-based networks in an Open Innovation setting
The event took place on the 24th of March 2021 and the idea was to discuss how access to open collaborative ecosystems and new models of business collaborations are key to the competitiveness of the European industry.
The I4MS Coordination and Support Action (I4MS4Ts) was invited to take part in this event and participate in the open discussion along representatives from ATI, PITCCH and DIHNET projects with the goal to identify synergies and long-term collaboration for efficient support to European stakeholders in their innovation journeys.
Mayte Carracedo, Project Coordinator of I4MS4Ts project, presented how the CSA is attempting to overcome some of the barriers that SMEs find when trying to be involved in European initiatives:
– By engaging intermediary bodies working with SMEs at local level for gaining their trust, through I4MS Contact Points
– Disseminating know about other successful stories coming from similar companies, through the Application Experiments collection
– Facilitating interaction with other stakeholders interested in smart manufacturing and find potential partners for cross-border collaboration, with the I4MS community
– Providing SMEs the opportunity to Test Before Invest using the cascade funding mechanism via the I4MS Open Calls
