Call for tenders for Initialisation Experiments of AMable already ongoing
The call, which has a deadline on June, 24th, 2018, aims at selecting experiments which can support the consortium in setting up procedures and tools for the project’s activity.
AMable project, which runs under the I4MS initiative of the European Commission to support SMEs and mid-caps in the uptake of new technologies, launched yesterday a call for tenders for “Initialisation Experiments”, which can support the consortium in setting up procedures and tools for reporting and controlling experiments under the AMable project.
The aim of AMable project is to accelerate the uptake of additive manufacturing technologies; from design to manufacture for functional parts throughout the European Union and, to this end, it is creating a digital framework to provide advanced and tailored services to assist SMEs in the adoption of advance manufacturing, including technological, business and training services.
This call for tenders is open to legal entities, registered in one of the European Union’s member states, which need support to bring forward an economically viable and technically feasible challenging product idea for additive manufacturing.
Proposers must have an initial business plan for their product idea and need to formulate the technological challenge and how the selected AMable service pack is expected to solve the challenges.
The contracted entities will receive support from the AMable services arena based on the selected service packs described in the call and will provide testing and feedback on the controlling and reporting tools that the AMable consortium intends to use.
AMable services aims at guiding and growing the competence of the development team of the proposer but, in the course of the development, the team can also use the services to get consultation for their work or, in some cases, for the execution of actual work such as computation on HPC infrastructure or material analysis.
The submission deadline of tender is on June, 24th, 2018 at 24:00 hrs (Brussels time) and complete information about the call’s description and submission procedure can be found at open calls section of AMable site.
