The Pathfinder journey continues….. Second project meeting
On the Learn activities project partners discussed three existing roadmaps to find common themes and to align PATHFINDER’s future road mapping activities. In particular the roadmaps of FOFRoadmap2020, ActionPlanT and IMS2020 have been studied. Partners have not only identified common themes but also derived ‘lessons learned’ to ensure an efficient and effective PATHFINDER Roadmap activity.
To Make the European Manufacturing industry Aware of PATHFINDER’s results and outcomes, a website has been created and made available: www.pathfinderproject.eu. On this website current successful applications of Simulation and Forecasting Technologies in the manufacturing industry will be made available soon while later on scenarios of future applications will be presented.
As PATHFINDER is not a stand-alone initiative from the Public-Private-Partnership between the beneficiaries TTS (Italy), Delcam (United Kingdom), Holonix (Italy), SUPSI (Switzerland), SmartFactory (Germany), University of Patras-LMS (Greece), Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and the European Commission, its participation in the I4MS initiative has been discussed. In addition PATHFINDER’s contribution to this initiative’s gate (www.i4ms.eu) has been further detailed to enable amplifying of PATHFINDER’s outcomes towards the European Manufacturing industry via this gate.
In the coming month a state of the art analyses of current Simulation and Forecasting technologies will be completed while also work will be done on creating the aforementioned success stories and future scenario’s.
