APPOLO: NewDeli workshop

On September 28, in Turin, Italy, IRIS srl organized a workshop where they have showcased the results of the NEW-DELI project as a part of the APPOLO project.

  • 9.30 – 12.30: NewDeli Seminar for young researcher – “Shaping, switching and delivering of high power laser beams for material processing and biomedical applications”
  • 14.30 – 17.30: Industrial Promotion Workshop - “Industrial application for Ultra-Short Laser Pulses” and visit to OPI’s lab



LASER World of Photonics 2017 in Munich

The European commission, Photonics 21 and LASHARE invite to a forum at Laser World of Photonics in Munich on June 29th from 10:00 to 14:00 in Hall B3.360. Under the headline “Digitisation of laser-based manufacturing in Europe” the program intends to identify topics and activities that support digitisation in the photonics sector.


ReconCell mentors visit University of Göttingen

On February 2, 2017, two professors from Tallinn visited the University of Göttingen, Department for Computational Neuroscience, Institute Physik-III, Biophysik: Prof. Tauno Otto, Professor in Production Engineering (TTÜ), Program Director of Integrated Engineering and Prof Jüri Riives, Professor of Production Systems (TTÜ), Head of Competence Centre IMECC.


Fortissimo success stories and experiments

Fortissimo has added new success stories to the Fortissimo web site. With the latest additions a total of 42 success stories are now available. Each success story describes the business benefits of digital simulation for a specific SME case from a wide variety of manufacturing segments like automotive, civil engineering, energy, maritime, etc.




Rhone-Alpes BEinCPPS Innovation Hub

The main goal of BEinCPPS is the creation of five Innovation Hubs in selected Vanguard Regions: Lombardia (IT), Euskadi (ES), Baden-Wuttemberg (DE), Norte (PT) and Rhone Alpes (FR). The Rhone-Alpes Innovation Hub will be located in Oyonnax (Ain), hosted in the Plastipolis cluster - a competitive cluster for plastic industry.



HORSE has progressed with its pilot scenarios’ definition!

The scenarios for the pilot interventions at the pilot factories in HORSE have been defined. The pilots have selected challenging problems that need advanced collaborative robotic technologies to be remotely operated by manufacturing process management tools, which remained unsolvable with existing robotics. Safety is increased by the integration of monitoring and alerting features based on sensors at the level of the robot, the environment (cell) and the production control software.
